So let’s talk about events!

This Sunday is the Dead Gamers Society Rendezvous: Sci-Fi Day! The Dead Gamers Society is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, gaming group in Orange County. They’re also a nice bunch of people too! They are coming in to run a Sci-Fi Day. Make no mistake, these events they run at Dicehouse are getting bigger and bigger. In fact, this Sunday we’re opening up earlier at 10:00am just so we can get things started off right! Here is the schedule of games to be run through the day:
10:00am to 2:00pm
Star Wars (West End Games system)
Dark Heresy
Aliens 5 (Savage Worlds system)
2:00pm – 3:00pm lunch break
3:00pm – 7:00pm
Serenity
Aliens Invade the Drive-In (World of Darkness system)
Cthulhu Rising
Just added – Dark Heresy (So many people want to play this one, they added a second game in the afternoon!)
You don’t need to know how to play any of these games! Just come on in for some fun!

Don’t forget, the Dead Gamers Society comes into the store twice a month to run other White Wolf games. Right now, the first Sunday of the month, Geist is run. And on the third Saturday of the month, they come in and run Vampire the Requiem.

As many of you know, we have Friday Night Magic (FNM) going on at 6:00pm every Friday (that’s why it’s called Friday Night Magic!) and Saturday Night Booster Draft at 6:00pm every Saturday (of course).

The Archenemy event was a fun event! We have even more Magic events coming up too!
M11 Pre-release – 7/10 & 7/11 (The Wizards of the Coast reps came in and talked a little about this and it promises to be as good as M10!)
M11 Launch – 7/17 & 7/18
M11 Game Day – 8/14

The D&D Encounters game is still going strong! Dark Sun! That’s right! Dark Sun is coming back! If you want a sneak peek or a taste of it, come join in the Encounters game that goes on every Wednesday at 6:00pm. Participate each week in an encounter that’s part of an ongoing campaign, played out over the course of a few months. Plus you’ll earn “renown” points as you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and complete quests – then get cool, exclusive rewards to use in your future D&D games. The more you play, the greater your renown. Dicehouse Games welcomes Jeff Poole as your Dungeon Master in the Dark Sun Encounters sessions. Each session will start at 6:00 pm and run about two hours every Wednesday night. If you’ve never played D&D before, that’s OK. Beginners are more than welcome. And you don’t need to bring your own character. One will be provided for you. Jesse’s Pathfinder game is still postponed. But details should be coming soon! Keep your eyes open for it!
