Hello all you happy gamers out there! It is March 31st! The last day of March, yet it feels like a hot summer day! But that’s OK. Our air conditioner is working just fine! And it’s Thursday and we have new stuff!

This Friday we’ve got our usual Friday Night Magic! Come in with your standard deck and play! This event is growing and growing! See how other players are using the new Mirrodin Besieged cards in their decks. Entry is still only $5.00! We begin around 6:00 pm.

Also this Saturday at 6:00 pm, we will have our regular Magic the Gathering Saturday Night Booster Draft. We will be using the new Mirrodin Besieged boosters! Only $15.00 for this event, but that covers all your boosters and prizes!

We also have a Magic the Gathering Peasant Tournament this Saturday at 1:00 pm! Bring in your standard peasant deck and play! What is that? It’s a standard Magic the Gathering deck with nothing but rare cards, up to five uncommon cards, and absolutely no rare or mythic rare cards! Entry is still only $3.00!

Today, the 31st, the Dead Gamers Society will be coming in to have their annual Absurd Fool Day. It’s supposed to be April Fool’s, but we have FNM tomorrow night. Last year’s Absurd Fool Day was a huge success. Lots of fun and funny board games and card games were run. This year will be no different! I even heard that Maid the RPG will be run as well! Come on down! Starting around 6:00 pm!

Looks like we will be rather busy for events for April!

This Sunday we will be having a Malifaux event! Not a tournament, but just a place for players to come and play and meet new people. Come on down with your crew! Starts at 1:00 pm!

April 17th we have two events going on!

First, we have a miniature painting workshop going on through the day, starting at 11:00 am and going through to 5:00 pm. Check out our events pages!

We will also have Jim from Z-Man games coming in and doing a demo of Trollhalla from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

We will be kicking off a new Warmachine/Hordes League this month as well. I just realized that our original kickoff day was the 24th, which is Easter, so I’m sure that date will change. Details to come!

Due to Spring Break, Easter, and other holidays this month, the Dead Gamers Society will postpone their regular Day of Darkness games until May! Details to come when they return!

Of course, we want to thank the Dead Gamers Society for coming in last Sunday to run their famous Rendezvous! It was a huge success, as always. Players and GM’s seemed to really enjoy the historical settings! They will be returning in June! Stay tuned for details!

So this week, Dicehouse Games was able to get in special orders for fourteen people. That made up almost thirty items! Everyone who put in a special order receives a 10% discount. Looking for something we don’t have in stock? Special order it and you too can receive a 10% discount. If we haven’t been able to get your special order, chances are our distributor was out, but I guarantee that we are doing our best to find it from somewhere else!

I know it doesn’t look like much, but when we’ve got a bunch of boxed games and special orders, it fills up the box pretty quickly.

Anyway, onto events!

In case you didn’t know, this Saturday is Magic the Gathering Mirrodin Besieged Game Day! Choose a side! Mirron or Phyrexia! Your deck must have at least 10 cards of one or the other, but you cannot mix them. You win a shot at preview cards from Mirrodin Pure or New Phyrexia. All participants receive a full art Treasure Mage. Top eight players receive a foil full art Black Sun’s Zenith.

On Sunday, February 27th, Jim from Z-Man Games came in and demoed the new game Luna! He also made time for Wasabi. Both are extremely fun games! On March 20th, Jim will be coming back in to demo Hotel Samoa! This time he will be here from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The Dead Gamers Society will be coming back in March to run their regular games! More details to come!

On March 13th, the DSG will be coming in to run Mage, a modern day wizard! Haus of Mirrors, in the World of Darkness. And Geist, a ghostly good time! These games always fill up. They usually begin at around 1:00 pm.

The Dead Gamers Society Rendezvous will be held on March 27th! If you’ve heard about the Rendezvous and haven’t been to one yet, this is an epic event! We usually open up at 10:00 am, a whole hour earlier than our normal time, and they run games all day! Usually six games in the morning shift, and then another three in the afternoon shift! Yep, a total of six games! This time, the theme is Historical Settings! More details to come!
