Hello all of you happy gamers out there! Welcome to another Thursday! That means we’ve got some new stuff! Actually, we only have one new item in today, but it’s a pretty cool one!
Z-Man Games
The Walking Dead Board Game! (Yes, this is finally out! And this is the comic book version of the game. There is another version based off of the TV series coming out soon!)
Yep, that’s pretty much it for new stuff. But we did get in quite a bit in restocks, but it might not look like it from the list.
Chessex
D10 Dice Sets
Poly Dice Sets
(If I were to list all of the restocks, there would be 60 sets of dice on here!)
Fantasy Flight Games
Call of Cthulhu Arkham Horror Board Game
Wizards of the Coast
Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition Player’s Handbook
Yep, that’s it. Now onto our events!
This Friday we’ve got our usual Friday Night Magic! Come in with your standard deck and play! This event is growing and growing! Entry is still only $5.00! We begin around 6:00 pm.
Also this Saturday at 6:00 pm, we will have our regular Magic the Gathering Saturday Night Booster Draft. Only $15.00 for this event, but that covers all your boosters and prizes!
Mark this on your calendars: September 24th! We will be having the Magic the Gathering Innistrad Pre-Release Event! This will be a sealed event! What does that mean? Entry is only $25.00 and that gets you six boosters to build a deck with! Then we have a tournament! You also get free foil promo cards! We are taking sign-ups now! We will not do any over the phone sign-ups. You must come into the store!
So not only are we doing the Innistrad Pre-Release, we’re also going to have the Launch Party one week later! That’s right! As if holding a huge event on the 24th isn’t enough, we want to do it all again the next Saturday! But we’ll be giving away a different foil promo card! Stay tuned for details!
And in case you were wondering, the new MTG Innistrad cards will go on sale the Friday right before the Launch Party!
For those of you who came in on Sunday the 11th for our Board Game Night, you may have seen we were quite busy! So don’t miss out on the first Sunday in October for our next Board Game Night. We start at 5:00pm and go until 10:00pm. That’s right, we stay open late for this! Mark Hom comes in and sets up several games to be played! By the way, did I mention this event is free?!

Have we got some events coming up for you! Check all this out!
As many of you know, we had our Magic the Gathering: Scars of Mirrodin Pre-Release last weekend. It was another huge turn out! Thank you to everyone who showed up and played! It was a really fun time! And as many of you know, we have a shortage of chairs due to people leaning back in them and breaking. So to those of you who brought in your own chairs, we sincerely thank you! This day was so big that we went through all the boosters that Wizards of the Coast sent to us for the event. We usually have enough to do it all again on Sunday, but not this time. We had nothing left by the end of Saturday! Our fans are the best!
So as for this week, we’ve got the Launch Party going on Saturday! We’ll be doing all the same events! A sealed event starts at 12:00 pm and is $25.00 to enter, but that covers six boosters and prizes! And then we’ll be doing a booster draft in the evening, starting at 6:00 pm.
This Friday is our usual Friday Night Magic! Come in and get warmed up for the Launch Party on Saturday. And we will have Scars of Mirrodin out for sale! We’ll begin at 6:00 pm as usual, and it’s only $5.00 to enter!
The new session of Dungeons & Dragons Encounters has begun! This time we’ve got Keep on the Borderlands! Encounters is run every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm! Come on in and play!
The Dead Gamers Society will be here in full swing in October! On Sunday the 10th, they will be running their montly Geist Game! Come on in and discover what it’s like to be a poltergeist! A ghostly good time!
On the 16th, the DGS will be coming in again to start their new fall season of Vampire the Requiem! Be a vampire in the heart of Los Angeles!
And if that wasn’t enough, the Dead Gamers Society will be coming in on the 24th for their famous Dicehouse Rendezvous! “What is that?” you may ask. The Rendezvous is a day where they take over Dicehouse Games and run a variety of different roleplaying games throughout the day! So what will they be running on the 24th? 9 different games to fit your fancy! Let me do a little cut and paste for you all!
Update to the Fall RPG Rendezvous at DiceHouse.
Added Games. I’m pleased to announce that Joseph Goodman of Goodman Games will be on hand to run playtests of his upcoming Dungeon Crawl Classics Roleplaying Game. He’ll be running two sessions one in the morning and one in the afternoon and players are welcome to play in both of them.
Joe Goodman is one of the luminaries of the RPG business and Goodman Games is one of the most popular publishers of third party material for Dungeons and Dragons. You can learn more about Goodman Games at their site…

Updates added to the schedule below
The Dead Gamers Society presents the Fall RPG Rendezvous. This is our quarterly micro RPG con at DiceHouse were we play some of todays most intriquing RPG’s, this is our chance to try some non-World of Darkness RPG’s. Think of it like an RPG wine tasting.
To RSVP for these fine games, visit the DGS website at
http://www.meetup.com/Dead-Gamers-Society/
The schedule is as follows.
10:00 am to 2:00pm
-Dungeon Crawl Classics Session 1
Joe Goodman of Goodman Games will be on hand playtesting Dungeon Crawl Classics the Roleplaying Game. Dungeon Crawl Classics brings back the feel and ease of Dungeon and Dragons as it was conceived in it’s early days, inspired by Robert E Howard’s Conan, Fritz Leiber’s Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser and the classics of sword and sorcery.
-A Song of Fire and Ice Roleplaying
Presenting Green Ronin’s Song of Fire and Ice Roleplaying. For years, readers have thrilled to the saga of Westeros as told in George R.R. Martin’s best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series. Now you can tell your own tales of the Seven Kingdoms and play the game of thrones in A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying. This is GM’d by Chris Czerniak.
-World of Darkness: Haus of Mirrors
Like Alice through the looking glass, this game takes you a trip through the World of Darkness like you never seen it before. With the recent publication of World of Darkness Mirrors, the window in which we see the World of Darkness has shattered and we now see a world twisted, frayed and mutated, but no less scary and mysterious. The Haus of Mirrors beckons you, come…enter. This is GM’d by Geist GM, Julie Scott.
-All Flesh Must Be Eaten
All Flesh Must Be Eaten is a roleplaying game set in a world of survival horror. A world where the dead have come back from their graves. You have no clue as to why they have returned but one thing is certain… They crave living flesh! Zombie games never get old and this is one of the best. This game is GM’d by Joe Sosta
3:00pm to 7:00pm
-Dungeon Crawl Classics Session 2
Joe Goodman brings more classic adventuring where stalwart heroes braved dark dungeons in search of treasure and glory.
-Gamma World 4th Edition
The D&D Gamma World Roleplaying Game offers hours of rollicking entertainment in a savage land of adventure, where the survivors of some mythical future disaster must contend with radioactive wastes, ravaged cities, and rampant lawlessness. Against a nuclear backdrop, heroic scavengers search crumbled ruins for lost artifacts while battling mutants and other perils. This is DM’d by Joel Arellano
-Leverage the Roleplaying Game
Based on the popluar TV Shoe, the Leverage Role Playing Game puts you in the middle of a dysfunctional but highly-specialized group of con-artists, criminals, and crooks who are trying to turn over a new leaf. You protect the victims of corporations, mobsters, and corrupt politicians by using your expert skills to outwit and overcome the real bad guys. Using the award-winning Cortex System as its foundation, the Leverage RPG includes all the rules you need to create a team of rogues, plan a job, and get it done… even if it means going to Plan B. This game is GM’d by Tim James
-Savage Worlds: Weird War II
In the horror of war, dark things rise, and World War II is history’s greatest conflict. The Japanese stalk the jungles of Southeast Asia. Carriers battle in the South Pacific. Tanks trundle across North Africa. Planes duel over England. The Nazi blitzkrieg conquers most of Europe with a genocidal madman at the controls. Prepare to battle the evil of the Axis powers and the hideous things that rise in their wake. This isn’t just war-this is Weird War! This game is GM’d by Mike Cantin
-Unknown Armies
In Unknown Armies, players take the roles of movers and shakers in the occult underground, fighting a battle for the ultimate prize: ascension to a higher plane and a hand in creating the next incarnation of reality. Loathsome monsters, bizarre supernatural forces, mind-bending magic, warring cults, and ten thousand bullets — it’s a pulp apocalypse, and the players have front-row seats for the steel-cage death match of all eternity. GM Steve Ramirez will bring his twisted mind for the forey into Unknown Armies
Yes, you read that right. Joseph Goodman will be at Dicehouse Games play testing his new RPG. This is a day you will not want to miss! No, really. You don’t want to miss it at all!
So this week, Dicehouse Games was able to get in special orders for seven people. That was nine items! Everyone who put in a special order receives a 10% discount. Looking for something we don’t have in stock? Special order it and you too can receive a 10% discount. If we haven’t been able to get your special order, chances are our distributor was out, but I guarantee that we are doing our best to find it from somewhere else!
That’s about it for this week! See you all in seven!

The Dead Gamers Society comes into the store twice a month to run other White Wolf games. Right now, the first Sunday of the month, Geist is run. And on the third Saturday of the month, they come in and run Vampire the Requiem. Although I believe that the Vampire game is over for the summer and they have started new season of Hunter, Werewolf, and Mage. But I’m sure their Facebook page can clarify that! *NOTE* The Hunter, Werewolf, and Mage games scheduled for tomorrow has been delayed due to the Launch Party. Sorry!
We still have the Dungeons and Dragons Encounters going on that previews the Dark Sun world coming out soon!If you want a sneak peek or a taste of it, come join in the Encounters game that goes on every Wednesday at 6:00pm. Participate each week in an encounter that’s part of an ongoing campaign, played out over the course of a few months. Plus you’ll earn “renown” points as you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and complete quests – then get cool, exclusive rewards to use in your future D&D games. The more you play, the greater your renown. Dicehouse Games welcomes Jeff Poole as your Dungeon Master in the Dark Sun Encounters sessions. Each session will start at 6:00 pm and run about two hours every Wednesday night. If you’ve never played D&D before, that’s OK. Beginners are more than welcome. And you don’t need to bring your own character. One will be provided for you. If you have any questions about the Encounters event, you can contact Jeff at perrina39@hotmail.com or call him at 714-742-1086.
This week, Dicehouse was able to fill special orders for twelve people! There was a total of 19 orders! And that’s not even counting all of the Magic the Gathering M11 preorders! They all get 10% off their order! Looking for something that we don’t have in stock? Special order it and you too can receive 10% off!
That’s about all for this week! See you in six!
