As always, we’ll have Friday Night Magic this Friday. It’s Standard format. Bring in your deck and play! The entry fee is only $5.00! And we’ll be giving out boosters for prizes along with a foil promo card. Qasali Pridemage is this month’s card.
This Saturday is the Pre-Release for the new Magic the Gathering set, Scars of Mirrodin! We’ll be starting at 12:00 pm sharp. Entry for this is $25.00 and covers the six boosters you get plus prizes! And everyone will be getting a special promo card. This event usually fills up, so get here early! We’ll also be giving out other promo cards as well! *NOTE* We already have the maximum amount of pre-sign ups, but we have started a wait list, in case someone doesn’t show up. Give us a call to have us put you on the wait list!
On top of the Pre-Release event, we’ll have a Saturday Booster Draft using the Scars of Mirrodin cards! So if you can’t make it to the Pre-Release, or can’t get in, give the Booster Draft a try! It’s only $15.00 to enter, which covers your three boosters and prizes. If we have enough product left over, we’ll be having another Booster Draft Sunday at noon!
And the hits just keep on coming when it comes to Scars of Mirrodin! The actual set goes on sale Friday, October 1st! But we will be open at midnight on Thursday! And if you buy a full box on the first weekend Scars of Mirrodin is out, you will receive a 10% discount along with the “buy a box promo” card from Wizards of the Coast!
Of course, we will have the Scars of Mirrodin Launch Party on October 2nd! It’s the same details as the Pre-Release. The only difference? You get a different foil promo card!
The new session of Dungeons & Dragons Encounters has begun! This time we’ve got Keep on the Borderlands! Encounters is run every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm! Come on in and play!
The Dead Gamers Society will be here in full swing in October! On Sunday the 10th, they will be running their monthly Geist game! Then on the 16th, they will be starting the new fall season of Vampire the Requiem! If that wasn’t enough, the 24th will be their famous Rendezvous! More details to come on the Rendezvous soon!
So this week, Dicehouse Games was able to get in special orders for nine people. That was fourteen items! Everyone who put in a special order receives a 10% discount. Looking for something we don’t have in stock? Special order it and you too can receive a 10% discount. If we haven’t been able to get your special order, chances are our distributor was out, but I guarantee that we are doing our best to find it from somewhere else!
That’s about it for this week! See you all in seven!

So this weekend is Father’s Day! So from us at Dicehouse Games, we want to wish all of you dads a Happy Fathers Day! And if you’re still looking for a gift for your gamer dad, we do have gift certificates!
So let’s get into the events that are coming up!
As many of you know, we have Friday Night Magic (FNM) going on at 6:00pm every Friday (that’s why it’s called Friday Night Magic!) and Saturday Night Booster Draft at 6:00pm every Saturday (of course).
We will also be having more Magic tournaments coming soon!
This Saturday, we have the Archenemy Multiplayer Release – 6/19 (This new format looks very cool! Sort of like a raid in World of Warcraft!)
M11 Pre-release – 7/10 & 7/11 (The Wizards of the Coast reps came in and talked a little about this and it promises to be as good as M10!)
M11 Launch – 7/17 & 7/18
M11 Game Day – 8/14
The Dead Gamers Society will also be coming in June 27th to run another fun day full of gaming! It looks like it will be a Sci-Fi day! That’s right! All games will have a Sci-Fi theme. The games scheduled for Sunday are: Star Wars (from West End Games!), Dark Heresy, Aliens 5 (Savage Worlds). These three will be run from 10:00am (that’s right, we’re opening early) until 2:00pm. We break for lunch for about an hour. Starting at 3:00pm, we’ve got Serenity, Aliens Invade the Drive-In (World of Darkness), and Cthulhu Rising. These three will run until about 7:00pm. Also, word has it that the Dark Heresy game is so popular, a second game might possibly be run in the afternoon! These days are always packed and everyone has a great time.
The Dead Gamers Society also comes into the store twice a month to run other White Wolf games. Right now, the first Sunday of the month, Geist is run. And on the third Saturday of the month, they come in and run Vampire the Requiem.
The Malifaux league continues! So far it’s been going well. It’s never too late to join if you’re interested in coming down to check it out. We usually have people here on Sundays playing, although this Sunday may be slow due to Father’s Day.
It looks like the Dungeons & Dragons Encounters had another great turn out! If you missed out, check out what it’s all about. This time the encounters will be featuring the new Dark Sun Campaign Setting coming out this summer! Participate each week in an encounter that’s part of an ongoing campaign, played out over the course of a few months. Plus you’ll earn “renown” points as you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and complete quests – then get cool, exclusive rewards to use in your future D&D games. The more you play, the greater your renown. Dicehouse Games will be welcoming Jeff Poole as your Dungeon Master in the Dark Sun Encounters sessions. Each session will start at 6:00 pm and run about two hours every Wednesday night. Jeff does ask you show up about 15 minutes ahead of time on the first session in order to get everyone signed up and characters out. If you’ve never played D&D before, that’s OK. Beginners are more than welcome. And you don’t need to bring your own character. One will be provided for you. If you have any questions about the Encounters event, you can contact Jeff at perrina39@hotmail.com or call him at 714-742-1086. This event is limited to about 4 to 6 players, so we will be taking sign ups. So if you’re interested (and we are expecting lots of people wanting to participate), please give Dicehouse a call or come in and sign up!
For those of you who were going to play in Jesse’s Pathfinder game, he apologizes for the delay. He had car problems and had to postpone the game. He will be rescheduling the game and details will come when we get them! But in case you are interested, here are the details of the game itself: Come on in with a level 1 character or create one in the store with Jesse! We are looking for about 4 or 5 regular players to come in on Sundays and play a regular campaign. So sign up now! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jesse at his email address: pariah77@hotmail.com. He will be happy to answer an questions you may have!
This week, Dicehouse was able to fill special orders for three people! They all get 10% off their order! Looking for something that we don’t have in stock? Special order it and you too can receive 10% off! Oh yeah, and pre-orders get a 10% discount too! Come in and check out the new GTM magazine and pre-order what you want!
That’s about it for this week. See you again here in 7!

(I know there was supposed to be a new Adventure Path and Module out today as well, but it looks like it was delayed another couple weeks.)
As for our restocks, well, we got dice back in. Lots of dice. I had to take a break from entering them into the computer just so I could get this notice out to you! Well, we are the Dicehouse!
Don’t forget, you can get a 10% discount on all special orders and pre-orders. Also, this weekend we’ll be having our Friday Night Magic and Saturday Booster Draft as normal. Friday will be your last chance to get the foil Bloodbraid Elf. There will also be a Mallifaux closing tournament for those involved in the Malifaux League. If you’re not involved, don’t worry, we’ll be starting another one very shortly! Also, being that it is the first Sunday of the month, I believe the Dead Gamers Society will be coming in on Sunday to run a Geist game. I haven’t confirmed this yet, but I’m sure someone involved will clarify for me! I hope!
Until next week! Take care all! Be good humans!
