Hello all you happy gamers out there! It’s another Thursday and we have new stuff! Of course, right? So let’s start off the second half of 2010 playing games! Oh, and we will be closed on Sunday, July 4th. But we’ll be open on Monday the 5th, when many other of you folk will be off of work!

Onto the events!

Magic the Gathering! You know we have Friday Night Magic and Saturday Night Booster Draft. So that’s not new, but what have we got coming up? Well, Magic Core Set 2011 is coming out soon! So that means we’ll have the pre-release here! This is next week folks! If you’re interested, we are taking sign ups now! And of course, pre-orders for M11 when it comes out on the 16th.
M11 Pre-release – 7/10 & 7/11 (The Wizards of the Coast reps came in and talked a little about this and it promises to be as good as M10!)
M11 Launch – 7/17 & 7/18
M11 Game Day – 8/14

The Dead Gamers Society comes into the store twice a month to run other White Wolf games. Right now, the first Sunday of the month, Geist is run. And on the third Saturday of the month, they come in and run Vampire the Requiem. Although I believe that the Vampire game is over for the summer and they have started new season of Hunter, Werewolf, and Mage. But I’m sure their Facebook page can clarify that!

Speaking of the Dead Gamers Society, we had their Sci-Fi Day here this past Sunday and it was absolutely huge! Thank you to all those who participated! It was a great day for gaming!

The D&D Encounters game is still going strong! Dark Sun! That’s right! Dark Sun is coming back! If you want a sneak peek or a taste of it, come join in the Encounters game that goes on every Wednesday at 6:00pm. Participate each week in an encounter that’s part of an ongoing campaign, played out over the course of a few months. Plus you’ll earn “renown” points as you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and complete quests – then get cool, exclusive rewards to use in your future D&D games. The more you play, the greater your renown. Dicehouse Games welcomes Jeff Poole as your Dungeon Master in the Dark Sun Encounters sessions. Each session will start at 6:00 pm and run about two hours every Wednesday night. If you’ve never played D&D before, that’s OK. Beginners are more than welcome. And you don’t need to bring your own character. One will be provided for you.
